Founded in April 2002, the
Hawaii Association of Certified Nurses Aides (HACNA) is a non-profit
organization created to support and educate Hawaii's professional
caregivers.
Grecia Hill, the
association's founder, has been caring for the elderly for over 25 years.
Because of her dedication and experience she was compelled to form this
association in an effort to provide sound educational and all-inclusive
health care resources for Hawaii's unique care-giving community.
As our population ages, older residents
of our state will require a mix of services to maintain their independence
and dignity. By providing training, ongoing support and benefits for
care-giving professionals, HACNA hopes to ensure the quality care our
elderly deserve is readily available.
