Founded in April 2002, the Hawaii
Association of Certified Nurses Aides (HACNA) is a non-profit
organization that was created to ensure that all older Hawaii residents,
present and future, have an independent, productive, healthy and secure
life. Grecia Hill, the associations founder,
has been caring for the elderly for over 25 years. Because of her
dedication and experience she was compelled to form this association in
an effort to provide sound educational and all-inclusive health care
resources for Hawaii's unique caregiving community.
As our population ages, older residents of our
state will require a mix of services to maintain their independence and
dignity. HACNA is a resource available to the consumers to facilitate
the choices they have to make, and to the caregivers in our community,
to build and maintain the quality of care our elderly deserve.
